Location in a class of its own: Close to beach and city
When you only have a few days to spare, location is key. You don’t want to spend half your time on transportation between the accommodation and the experiences. You don’t have to here either. Our campsite is literally on the water’s edge. With only 75 meters to one of Funen’s best beaches, you can start the day with a fresh dip or enjoy the sunset over the water before retiring.
At the same time, we are only 1500 meters from the center of Kerteminde. This means you can leave your car behind and take a pleasant walk into town along the water. Kerteminde is known for its charming old houses, good restaurants and maritime atmosphere. Everything is within easy reach here, making it ideal for beach camping on Funen, where you don’t have to compromise on city facilities.
Accommodation that suits your needs
A mini vacation should be easy and convenient. That’s why we offer several different accommodation options so you can choose the solution that best suits your temperament and budget. If you prefer the classic camping experience, you are of course welcome to bring your own caravan or tent. We have good facilities, including the possibility of power connection, so you can quickly settle in.
Cabins make mini vacations easier
Many people choose to rent a cabin when they go on a short stay. This saves time setting up your awning and equipment, so you can start enjoying yourself from the moment you arrive. We have several types of cabins available:
- Type A: Our most comfortable option. These cabins are furnished with their own shower and toilet, giving a feeling of luxury and privacy. It’s the obvious choice for those who want hotel-like comfort but with the cozy atmosphere of the campsite.
- Type B: A good mid-range cabin with room for the family while still staying close to nature.
- Type C: Our simpler and more economical choice, perfect for those who primarily use the cabin as a base for adventures and just want a roof over your head at a good price.
Whichever type you choose, a cabin is a great base for your mini vacation. Please note that cabin rentals typically have a minimum stay requirement, ensuring you have enough time to relax and unwind.
Experiences for both children and adults
Kerteminde and the surrounding area offers a wealth of activities. For families with children, the big draw is the proximity to Nordstranden. The beach is known for being very child-friendly with fine sand and shallow water, where the little ones can play safely at the water’s edge. At the campsite itself, there are also plenty of opportunities for play and socializing, where children quickly find new playmates.
If you’re more into culture and history, Kerteminde’s museums and attractions are just around the corner. A walk through the narrow streets of the old market town is an experience in itself. You can also use the campsite as a starting point for excursions to the rest of Funen. We are centrally located, so whether you want to visit H.C. Practical information and facilities
To ensure that all our guests have a pleasant experience, we have some simple guidelines that create a good framework for the community. The site must be quiet between 23:00 and 07:00, ensuring that you can get a good night’s sleep and wake up well-rested for a new day of experiences. Reception is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00, where we are always ready to help you with questions or advice about the local area.
On-site facilities include access to showers and toilets, and although we are constantly renovating and improving, we always make sure that the basic necessities are in order. Should you need to wash your clothes after a day at the beach, you can do that too.
Take your dog on vacation
A mini vacation is for the whole family – and that includes the four-legged ones, of course. Dogs are welcome at our campsite and in our cabins. We know how important it is for your dog to feel welcome when you’re camping with your dog.
We only ask that dogs are always kept on a short leash in the campsite and that dogs are walked outside the campsite area out of consideration for other guests. This is a great opportunity to take long, beautiful walks along the beach or in the scenic surroundings around Kerteminde.
How much does a mini-break cost?
The price of your stay depends on the type of accommodation you choose and the time of year you visit us. We always strive to have family-friendly prices so there’s room in the budget for ice cream, restaurants and experiences. We often have different seasonal divisions (low, high and late season), which affects the price.

Kerteminde is a popular destination, especially when the weather is at its best. Although a mini-break can often be planned at short notice, we always recommend booking well in advance to ensure you get the cabin or pitch of your dreams. Especially in high season and around public holidays, there’s a lot of demand for places close to the water.
