Being a permanent camper is more than just camping; it’s a lifestyle where freedom, community and relaxation come together. When you choose a seasonal pitch with us, you won’t have the hassle of packing up your trailer and awning every weekend. Instead, you can drive straight to your own little oasis, where the coffee can be brewed quickly and the holiday mood sets in as soon as you roll through the gate.
At Kerteminde Camping, we offer the perfect setting for those who want a permanent base in the middle of Denmark. Our location is unique, and for many of our guests, it’s the combination of city life and beachfront that keeps them coming back year after year. There’s room for both families with children who want a safe environment for play and for senior couples who enjoy nature and tranquillity.
A prime location – close to beach and city
When you’re looking for the perfect pitch for your caravan for the whole season, location is often the most important parameter. Here we dare to promise that we are in a good position. We are located on Hindsholmvej 80, which gives you a location that is hard to match anywhere else on Funen.
Imagine waking up in the morning and having only 75 meters to the water’s edge. Our neighbor is one of Funen’s best and most child-friendly sandy beaches, Nordstranden. This means that as a permanent resident, you can start the day with a fresh dip, take long walks along the water in the sunset, or simply enjoy the sound of the waves when the wind is right.
But nature is not everything. One of the things that makes our site particularly attractive is its proximity to Kerteminde city center. It’s only 1500 meters to the cozy streets of the city, making it easy to walk or cycle in for shopping, café visits or cultural experiences. You don’t have to start the car to pick up fresh bread or enjoy an ice cream at the harbor. You get the best of both worlds: the tranquility of camping life and the pulse of the city right nearby.
Facilities and everyday life on site
As a permanent resident, the campsite becomes your second home, so the practical framework must be in order. We emphasize that everyday life should run smoothly and easily for our guests. Our reception is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00, where we are always ready to help you with anything, whether you have questions about the area or need practical assistance.
Of course, you’ll have access to electricity on site to keep your fridge cold and lights on in your awning when darkness falls. We know that good shower and toilet facilities are essential for a good camping experience. Our facilities are designed to meet the needs of both young and old, so you can always have a hot shower after a day at the beach.
Safety and peace of mind are key words for us. To ensure a good night’s sleep for everyone, the barrier is closed to traffic between 22:30 and 07:00. In addition, the site must be quiet from 23:00 to 07:00. This creates a peaceful atmosphere where you can really recharge. We always encourage you to show consideration for your neighbors – both during the day and at night – because good neighborliness is at the heart of a well-functioning campsite.

Experiences for the whole family
Whether you’re looking for relaxation in the sun or active days, there’s plenty to do. For families with children, the beach is obviously the big draw, but the site is also a great place to make new friends across tents and caravans. It’s safe to let the kids play, as we keep the traffic calm on site.
If you’re into golf, nature walks or bike rides, Hindsholm and the area around Kerteminde is a treasure trove of experiences. You can find inspiration for activities in the local area, ranging from museum visits to scenic excursions. As a permanent resident, you have the whole season to explore the many corners of Funen that are within easy driving distance.
Take your dog to a seasonal campsite
For many people, dogs are an indispensable part of the family, and of course they should come camping too. We are a dog-friendly campsite where your four-legged friend is very welcome.
However, we do have some simple rules to make sure it’s nice for everyone to be here:
- Dogs must always be kept on a short leash on site.
- Airing must take place outside the campsite area.
- Leftovers must of course be picked up by the owner.
There is a small fee per night to bring your dog, but in return you get access to beautiful walks in the area where both two and four-legged friends can burn off some energy.
When family comes to visit: Cabins and guests
One of the joys of mooring is the opportunity to invite children, grandchildren or friends to visit. If they don’t have their own caravan, that’s no problem. We offer several different types of cabins for rent so your guests can spend the night close to you.
We have cabins in different categories to suit different needs and budgets:
- Type A: Our most well-equipped cabins with private shower and toilet – perfect for those who want a little extra comfort.
- Type B and C: Cozy alternatives for those who primarily need a good bed to sleep in and otherwise use the site’s shared facilities.
Remember to book cabins well in advance, especially if your guests are planning to visit during the high season or holiday weeks when space is often at a premium.
Seasons and economy
We offer seasonal pitches ranging from early spring, when nature springs to life, through the hot summer and into the beautiful fall. Many people choose to split the season or book spring and fall if they travel during their summer vacation.
We are committed to offering transparent and reasonable prices so that everyone can participate. The price of a seasonal pitch depends on the period you want and whether you choose spring, high season or late summer. Electricity is typically charged per day or by consumption depending on the agreement, so you only pay for what you use.
As prices and seasonal periods may vary slightly from year to year, we always recommend that you check our current price list. Here you can see the exact dates for the start and end of the season as well as prices for caravans, guests and add-ons.
You can see full details about the economy here: View current prices and periods.
