Our location is unique. We’re just 75 meters from one of Funen’s best and most child-friendly sandy beaches, and you’re only 1500 meters from the charming city center of Kerteminde. This gives you the perfect base for a vacation that offers both relaxation to the sound of the waves and experiences in one of Denmark’s friendliest coastal towns.

A cabin vacation is the ideal solution for families with children, couples and seniors who want an easy and convenient form of vacation. When you rent a cabin, your vacation starts the moment you arrive. No need to spend time setting up the awning or leveling the trailer – you can simply unlock the door, put your bags down and head straight down to the water.
It’s a form of vacation that gives you freedom. Whether the weather is sunny or it’s time for indoor fun with board games and hot chocolate, the cabin provides a safe and cozy setting. We have different types of cabins to suit different needs and budgets, so there’s something for everyone.
Choose the cabin that’s right for you
At Kerteminde Camping, we know that our guests have different requirements for comfort and facilities. That’s why we offer several categories of cabins, from the very simple to the more luxurious with private shower and toilet. What they all have in common is that they are located in beautiful surroundings close to both the beach and communal facilities.
Type A – Luxury cabin with private shower and toilet
If you want the most comfortable option, our A cabin is the right choice. This cabin type is perfect for the family or couple who want private facilities. You’ll have your own shower and toilet right in the cabin, making your vacation extra convenient – especially if you’re traveling with small children or simply appreciate not having to use the communal buildings at night. These cabins are also equipped with kitchen facilities so you can easily prepare your own meals.
Type B – The golden mean
Our B-cabins are a popular choice for those who want plenty of space and comfort, but can do without their own shower and toilet in the cabin itself. These cabins are cozy and are of course located a short distance from the site’s service buildings, where you’ll find shower and toilet facilities. It’s a great solution that balances price and comfort.
Type C – The simple and cozy solution
If you’re looking for a more primitive charm where you get to know each other, a C-cabin is a good choice. It’s our most affordable alternative, and it works perfectly as a base for those of you who primarily use the cabin for overnight stays while spending the days at the beach or on excursions around Funen. Here you can use the campsite’s shared facilities for cooking and showering.
Please note that when renting cabins there is a minimum stay of 2 nights. This gives you time to unpack and actually enjoy the area without the stress of having to leave immediately.
Facilities and practical info
When you stay in a cabin with us, you become part of the living environment at the campsite. You have access to all our facilities, including kitchen and shower facilities, which are continuously maintained to ensure a great experience for all guests. The reception is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00, where we are always ready to help with questions or advice for excursions in the local area.
We care about the peace and quiet on the site. That’s why the gate is closed to traffic between 22:30 and 07:00, and we ask all guests to respect that the site must be quiet from 23:00 to 07:00. This ensures that everyone – young and old alike – can get a good night’s sleep and be fresh for the next day’s adventure.
On the day of departure, the key to the cabin must be returned no later than 10:00 am so we can prepare for the next guests. If you arrive outside reception opening hours or need help with booking, you are always welcome to contact us in advance.
Take your dog on a cabin vacation
For many families, the dog is a full-fledged member of the family, and of course the four-legged friend should not be denied a trip to Funen. At Kerteminde Camping, we are a dog-friendly campsite and dogs are welcome in all our cabins.
When you live so close to nature, it’s great to have your dog with you. Long walks along the beach or on the paths around Kerteminde are a balm for the soul for both dog and owner. However, we have a few rules to ensure that everyone has a good experience:
- The dog must always be kept on a short leash on the site.
- Airing must take place outside the campsite area.
- The dog must not be left alone or unattended in the cabin.
- Always remember to pick up after your dog.
There is a small fee per day for having a dog in the cabin, which covers the extra cleaning. You can see the current rates under our prices.
Experiences on your doorstep
One of the great advantages of choosing a cabin vacation with us is the location. You’re literally a stone’s throw from the North Beach, which is known for its fine sand and shallow waters that make it incredibly child-friendly. Here the hours can quickly fly by with sunbathing, swimming and building sandcastles.
When you’re hungry or want to go shopping, it’s only a short 1.5 km walk to Kerteminde town. Here you’ll find a wealth of specialty shops, cozy cafés and excellent restaurants. The city also offers great cultural experiences such as the Fjord & Belt Center and the Johannes Larsen Museum. Kerteminde is a city full of life, especially in the summer months, and it’s easy to participate in city events when you live so close.

The price of your cabin vacation depends on the type of cabin you choose and when in the season you want to visit us. We always strive to offer attractive prices so you can afford both accommodation and experiences. We often have different seasonal periods (low, high and late season), which gives you the opportunity to find a cheap vacation if you are able to travel outside the busiest weeks.
